From the modest beginnings of a one man band in 1985, JP Handy (Forestry) has expanded to become the area's foremost Tree Surgery and Woodland management company. It now has two distinct departments:
1)
Arboriculture (Tree Surgery) deals with the care, maintenance
and removal of trees in small numbers as an amenity.
2)
Forestry (Woodland Management) provides a comprehensive service for woodland owners, from establishing new woodlands right through to maturity.
The company has a full time arboricultural team of 3 to 5 men, all trained and certificated or under training. The forestry work is carried out by a core of specialist sub-contractors who operate more specialist machinery or are skilled at manual work such as planting or spraying.
JP Handy (Forestry) became JPH Forestry Ltd. in 2003 but still trades under its old name.
